Tell me, who isn’t in love with Pinterest? It is so amazing to just pop over to one site and find everything and anything creative and beautiful. I stumbled upon this recipe for an apple pie smoothie, and I just had to try it.
I love to make smoothies and my favorites are pretty much any kind of berries with mango’s. An apple smoothie sounded just so different that I had to try. It actually is pretty good! Its packed with protein and fiber so its really good for you! The consistency is a little creamier than I am used to, but overall not bad. Why don’t you try it and tell me what you think?
Apple Pie Smoothie
- 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
- 1 cup raw apple, peeled and chopped (I used braeburn)
- 2 tsp walnuts
- 2 TB ground flax seed
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 1/2 cup cold water
- 5 large ice cubes
blend all ingredients in blender until smooth 🙂
