Looking for something fun to do? If you are in the Portland, Oregon area you need to check out the Zoolights at the Oregon Zoo!
Hey everyone! I’ve got another fun little giveaway for all of my local readers. The Oregon Zoo has provided me with 4 additional tickets to visit their annual holiday event Zoolights. We’ve been attending Zoolights since 2013. It’s become our own little family tradition, in fact we are heading up there today to explore this year’s winter festival.
The Zoolights at the Oregon Zoo open up at 5:00 daily through January 1st ( with the exception of Dec. 24th and 25th!), and run until 8 or 9 pm, depending on the day. The zoo is literally transformed into a winter wonderland filled with more than a million and a half lights that you can walk around and see.
When heading up to see the Zoolights, make sure you bring lots of warm clothes, including gloves, thick socks, coats, etc. Consider bringing hand warmers, and purchase some hot cocoa while you are there.
If you don’t want to join in on the crowds, consider attending on one of the value nights at the zoo. Admission is cheaper and there will probably be fewer people there. You can find out more about the value nights at the Oregon Zoo’s website HERE.
