Who else is keeping up with all of the games and The Big Tournament lately? I’ll be honest…this year I haven’t had the time to get into it as much as I’d like to. I haven’t thrown any large celebrations or created grand appetizer spreads for us all to nibble on. That doesn’t mean that I haven’t done anything though.

Sometimes celebrating doesn’t equal extravagant. Sometimes celebrating means low-key yet still thoughtful. Things like taking the time to create little appetizers instead of simply opening the box, or pairing a snack and a beverage together – it can all make an afternoon more memorable.

There are some great tasty yet simple appetizer ideas right now on this website with Mondelez and Coca-Cola™ products. There are YouTube videos of the recipes as well, making them easy to replicate at home!

I recently created the Southwestern Fiesta Toppers with TRISCUIT crackers, reduced-fat cheddar cheese, salsa, and reduced-fat sour cream. I made a couple minor changes to my recipe by using a mango lime salsa and garnishing them with mini sprigs of dill. (You could use any fresh herb to top it with – cilantro would work well too!)

Southwestern Fiesta Toppers

What you need:

Reduced-fat TRISCUIT crackers

Your favorite Salsa

Reduced-fat white cheddar cheese

Reduced-fat sour cream

Fresh herbs for garnish

Slice the cheddar cheese and add it onto the TRISCUITs. Spoon a small amount of your favorite salsa on top of the cheese, then top with sour cream. You can also garnish with your favorite herbs.

These appetizers pair perfecfly with Coca-Cola Zero™! I like purchasing either the mini cans or the 8 ounce glass bottles of Coca-Cola so everyone has their own special beverage to sip on while snacking and watching games.

You can find all of these products for your next mini celebration at your local Albertsons!

What are some of your favorite simple appetizer combinations to make?
