Do you know what happens when you blend a sweet Riesling with strawberries? Strawberry Riesling! It’s like a little sip of summer that melts in your mouth!
I love a good dry Riesling. There’s nothing better than a glass of chilled wine on a warm day. However, a wine smoothie isn’t too bad either. We pick a lot of Oregon strawberries every year and freeze them up, so I always have a supply of them handy.
I’ve always enjoyed a few sliced up fresh strawberries in my Riesling, but one day I thought about just blending the two flavors together. So I did just that. I poured 4 ounces of a dry Riesling that didn’t cost too much (Chateau Ste Michelle Riesling is great for the price)! Then, I added 1/2 cup of frozen strawberries and blended them until smooth.
I then poured it into a wine glass and garnished with a strawberry before sipping.
How to Make Simple Strawberry Riesling:
Ingredients
- 4 ounces of dry Riesling
- 1/2 cup of strawberries
Instructions
All you need to do is to make this drink is pour the 4 ounces of your favorite Riesling and 1/2 cup of strawberries (I used frozen) into a blender until smooth. Voila! Instant wine smoothie.
Doesn’t this just make you wish for a warm summer afternoon right now?
Have you ever made your own wine smoothies before?

Can't wait to try this out, and you have a new follower. 🙂
That is too funny!!! Make sure you use a riesling thats not dry….or else it can turn out a little too tart! 😉
Do you have a preferred Riesling that you recommend?
